
Statement of Mission & Purpose:
The Dr. A.J. Kauvar Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation with the following mission:
To establish, maintain, operate and offer counsel in carrying out health care education through seminars, lectures, written papers and pilot projects. Whatever the format, the focus will be on some aspect of health care and delivery, whether prevention, maintenance or treatment.
To be self-perpetuating through contributions, grants, interest on investments and other revenue sources.
The number of programs per year will be dependent on availability of funds for such purpose. Management of the funds and the discretion for their application and their investment will be the responsibility of the Board of Trustees.

This non-profit, tax-exempt Foundation under the control of a private board, with Dr. Kauvar’s son Lawrence Kauvar acting as Chief Executive Officer, will use its resources to:
Reinforce the value of the partnership between the art and the science of medicine.
Build an awareness of the part health plays in daily lives and that excellence of health care may well be considered a universal treasure.
Sponsor research and experiment with new ideas in patient care and health delivery.
Demonstrate the value of innovative projects.
Assist in the establishment of training and educational goals
Provide a public forum with an emphasis on prevention of disease and on “wellness” maintenance.
